Basically, you pick your favorite 6 songs that you would love to hear on an album side (I Know this is the cd age, but play along). Today you can pick your 6 favorite songs from the genre of thrash. Continuing in the future, I will give you genres to choose your favorite 6 songs from. Also most likley I will further break down the thrash genre into German and Bay Area bands. Any suggestions, please PM me.

1. Slayer - Angel of Death
2. Metallica - Disposable Heroes
3. Megadeth - Peace Sells
4. Destruction - Bestial Invasion
5. Whiplash - Stage Dive
6. Testament - Over The Wall

I love thrash! :headbang:

Testament - Disciples of the Watch
Anthrax - Finale
Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls
Metal Church - Metal Church
Megadeth - Holy Wars
Deliverance - Slay the Wicked

Shame on you if you don't own Deliverance's "Weapons of our Warfare". :headbang:

In no particular order....

1 - Metallica - "Seek & Destroy"
2 - Megadeth - "Wake Up Dead"
3 - Sepultura - "Refuse - Resist"
4 - Anthrax - "Time"
5 - Anthrax - "Antisocial"
6 - Metallica - "Disposable Heroes"

...at least that's the album side I'd pick today :headbang:

Manticora - Cantos
MetallicA - Disposable Heroes
MegadetH - Holy Wars
PanterA - Domination
Slayer - Raining Blood
Motorhead - Ace of Spades

I dont want to start a genre debate, but I dont think you can consider Motorhead thrash. Maybe I am wrong but I have just always consider them and Sabbath to be like the founders of the Stoner Metal.

nor would I call Manticora thrash, but I am leaving it up to each person to decide what fits each genre.

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: great way to start off !!

Death Angel- Disturbing the Peace
Testament- Into the Pit
Megadeth- Holy Wars
Metal Church- Ton of Bricks
Agent Steel- Guilty as Charged
Anthrax- Belly of the beast

Metallica - Dyers Eve
Metallica - Disposable Heroes
Kreator - Pleasure to Kill / Violent Revolution
Testament - D.N.R.
Destruction - Mad Butcher
Dark Angel - Darkness Descends

Overkill - The Years Of Decay (not thrash the song, but goddamn epic shit from a thrash band)

Megadeth - Black Friday

Testament - Over The Wall

Anthrax - Skeletons In The Closet

Death Angel - The Ultra Violence

Sodom - Bombenhagel

Fuck yea. These songs make me wanna bang hot chicks, get in a fight, and eat a steak.

hmm 6 favorite thrash songs... gonna keep this to no repeat bands either...

Kreator - Flag of Hate
Rage - Black in Mind
Destruction - Thrash Till Death
Testament - Disciples of the Watch
Sodom - Ausgebombt
Children of Bodom - Hate me! (I consider them thrash)

Well at least I can tell you for certain, Manticora would say they're a modern version of thrash metal. Kristian grew up on that stuff, and their stuff can easily be balanced with the old stuff.

Motorhead? Really? Even with songs like Overkill and Stone Dead Forever?

Some great choices posted already here... I think I'll steal a few...

Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss
Pantera - Domination
Machine Head - Davidian
Forbidden - Twisted Into Form
Overkill - E.vil N.ever D.ies
Megadeth - Rust In Peace... Polaris

- Chris

This is fun. I'll go with...

Metallica - Battery
Megadeth - Good Mourning/Black Friday
Testament - Practice What You Preach
Slayer - South of Heaven
Anthrax - Caught In A Mosh
Metal Church - Ton of Bricks

That should about cover it.:headbang:

1. Wake Up Dead - Megadeth
2. Creeping Death - Metallica
3. Skeletons of Society - Slayer
4. Lucretia - Megadeth
5. Got the Time - Anthrax
6. Dead Skin Mask - Slayer

I know what I like...and I'm sticking to it!
