CANKERED CORPSE / 'Destruction' - This is a cool Death Metal band from the historic city of XiAn, formed in 1998. This song is all out Death with a unique sort of psychadelic break down in the middle. Awesome, awesome song and my favourite on the entire comp. Taken from the demo CD "Mayhem" (limited to only 500).

CRIMSON FLAG / 'Mess Around' - Taking influence from the old school Death and Thrash scenes this young band from Beijing has been active since 1999.

ENDOPUTRESCENCE / 'Gorgasm' - All out Death Grind massacre from Beijing that is BRUTAL yet technical ! Another project of Xi Chen (Painkiller Magazine publisher).

GATE OF MEDITATION / 'The Ancient Legend' - Studio project of Mort Records producer / Painkiller Magazine publisher Xi Chen. This is a Power Metal instrumental from which could quite possibly be the first Power Metal band in China !

HADES / 'The Nightmare Went On' - Doom Death band from Beijing formed in 1993 and unfortunately disbanded in 1999. This track was recorded in 1996.

PURGATORY / 'The Gift From Satan' - Taken from their promo MCD Purgatory (2001). They formed in 1999 in Kunming, Yunnan and offer some rather raw Black Thrash.

RITUAL DAY / 'The Unholy Year Is Coming' - Evil Black Metal with a dash of Death influence. The band is cited for having been inspired by DISSECTION or SAMAEL.

SERAPH / 'March Of The Empire' - This band from Beijing combine melodic female vocals with hoarse, evil male vocals. Doom Black with a slight hint of Gothic.

SUFFOCATE / 'Breakdown' - Another band out of Beijing, formed in 97 and playing Death Metal with a bit of Thrash influence.

VOMIT / 'Dust Devil' - Old school Death Metal from Tianjin. This band is one of the oldest Death Metal bands in China. Song taken from their demo "Owe".
