Unearth

I believe that they used Cobras for this album, and they are using them live, at least here in the US...I've read they were using 5150's overseas, possibly due to renting rigs for overseas shows.

If all the Unearth fans don't dig the music on this one, I'll probably like it better than their previous CD's...I've never been able to get into this band at all.

has anyone got any insight on to this digital clipping issues on tracks 3 and 5 though? its only on the first few snare transients of the 2 aswell

Yes, I can clearly hear some sort of "popping" there, but doesn't sound like harsh digital clipping.

ken always manages to crack me up, cool ass dude!

III was their finest moment, that is what a metal album should be like.

i think the whole "perfect production" thing is cool but i think unearth may actually sound better with a more raw sound. . .:danceboy: breaaaaaakdownnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw Unearth here in Seattle once, and some chick crowd surfed her way up onto the stage, and Ken Suzi completely french kissed her over his shoulder for a good few seconds, mid-song, while still playing his guitar part. The girl jumped back into the crowd and Ken had the proudest little smirk on his face...haha.

haha awesome, im soo gutted i missed em in the UK this year!!
I won't make you feel better by saying they were really good:)

Bleeding Through played on the same day, so I'm gutted about that.. but I like to think I made the right choice.. got to see them AND Parkway Drive, Despised Icon and Architects.

unearth is one of the best live bands. I really don't know how often I have seen'em, but everytime was fun and special. Just great.

someone at the never say die tour had printed some cards with ken's face and the american flag as background and a line of text. "yes we ken"
that guy tossed the cards on the stage when unearth was playing, ken saw em and gave that kid a cymbal at the end of the show.

Just picked this cd up. The recording is another superb job by Andy. Is the guitar amp a VHT? It sounds cool but on some of the tracks I'm not sure I like how it handles the low end. Particularly track 6, the March, say around 00:45 for example. I'd be curious to find out.

The Album sounds are brilliant and it's good production..But I can't get into Unearth..I have tried to, I have sat down and listened to all the albums, but the songs just don't do anything for me...There are some good bits for the album 'the oncoming storm' like the Beatdown at the end of 'This Lying World' and 'The Great Dividers' has some good bits, But as for the latest album, Its not for me.
