well,
i finally got sick of work and gave 2 weeks notice today so as of 9th April i will be unemployed.Probably should have got another job first but sometimes it just time to move on.

I was unemployed for 14 months once, then landed a job that lasted 8.5 years

Yeah good luck with finding work. I started my new job today.
But through being out of work for so long it's made me finally actuall set into place getting my enrolled nursing certificate so I will always have a job and not have to resort to working in Nursing Homes like I am now.
So look out if you end up in Nepean Hospital or somewhere near by I could be the nurse looking after you.
But the posibilty of that would only be narrow as I only would be doing part of my training in the main part of a hospital. I want to go into one of three areas Pedeatric,Maternity or Psychology Nursing.

I'm job hunting too... haven't worked in a couple of weeks, although I've agreed to do security at a battle of the bands tomorrow night. Should be easy enough.

Gonna apply for the dole next week if I don't at least get an interview - which I think I will get for at least one of the 2 jobs i applied for this week.

My story is similar to Mark's - two years unemployed after I finished school, then my first-ever job lasted 6 years.

I'm about to be between jobs because I'm sick of where I am, but I'm a temp so I'm not sure if it's the same unemployment as someone who quits or loses a full time job. Probably not.

I suspose I've been lucky first job lasted 15 years and then made redundant , umemployed for 3 months then worked on contract basis for 2.5 yrs and then left and when to CBA (cunts ) 2.5yrs reduandant again. Now on contract again for 12 months the Banking & Finance Industry sucks a big one .

I just recently got a job (as recent as yesterday hehe)... only temping, but the work they've got me doing is super fucking important, and it'll take me quite a while to get done perfectly. So I should be set for some time!

I have just moved from casual whilst at uni, to defering uni and working heaps and heaps of hours. Money is good.
