so, i guess i'm not the only kata fan around here who thinks Unfurl is absolutely STUNNING track.

i understand that Unfurl couldn't fit the rest of the album musically-wise, so it was left out of The Great Cold Distance and found its release through a single

BUT, can we expect MORE stuff such as Unfurl, like, 2 or 3 tracks in the similar vein (down-tempo, simple elektro drumming, clean guitars) on the next album??

Anders and Jonas could start a side project releasing an album full of songs like that. I assue they are the only ones that have been involved in Unfurl and Code against the code.

Since it would be so similar to Katatonia, maybe they could call themselves something like "Tonia".

It we imagine "Kata" beeing the heavy side and "Tonia" the soft side, as Katatonia consists of both, then "Tonia" would be a fitting name for this soft project.

Wow, guys! Now you have me all pumped for this song, as I'm probably one of the few who haven't heard it yet. It SHALL be mine...I'm just one of those patient types, plus, I have to own the actual SINGLE. That's my kind of thing - a mere mp3 just wouldn't cut it, haha.

It'd be KILLER if another TGCD single emmerged from out of the blue.

Where could I listen to a track sample of unfurl?.

Nevermind, I heard a clip of it on iTunes. I wish I could listen to the whole song. But I only have $0.14 on my account, I need to buy another one of those little cards.

I agree with alcapoth, to buy a CD to listen to one song, I guess iTunes is the answer.

Wow, it is a great song...

I would'nt mind a softer Katatonia album if they kept the songs kinda of like unfurl, tonights music, passing bird, and deadhouse.

Unfurl is easilly best that I've heard from the the TGCD-sessions, and I guess I've heard em all. Man, what a nice tune, great atmo, great vocals, great melodies. Mint stuff.

this song is amazing, try listening to it at night when there is no other sounds to be heard. the song just comes alive and is beautiful. there is this snarling fuzz buried deep in the mix.

This song is really out of this world. Whenever I put on this song I never want to hear anything else anymore. I must have listened it like 50 times in 2 days. Everything about this song is perfect, the sound, the combination of melodies, the vocals, the drums.

This song somehow reminds me of the playstation game and soundtrack Silent Hill. An album or minialbum in this style would be very interesting indeed. On the other hand, I like their metal stuff too, so I hope they will keep on doing both.
