Uni question for you all...

I'm not at uni yet, but i'm hoping to go later this year. I need just need to get the right results in my exams. I've applied for Physics and Mathematics. But, to be honest, all i wanna do is play guitar and liste to Iron Maiden all day.

I did an Arts degree, went on to further self-punishment by doing an Honours year in English (big mistake) and finished it all off with a completely useless creative writing diploma.

So, I have a huge HECS debt, thirteen letters after my name and bugger all in the way of viable qualifications

However, if I'd done the sort of course that Trent's doing, I might have some idea how to direct these films I'm supposed to be writing, dammit!

Did you check out www.darkchamber.com yet Wrathy? It sounds like you would enjoy a lot of it, its quite similairish to the genre you write in (well most of it is anyway).

I did Applied Communications Studies, that included equal parts film studies, journalism, philosophy and other stuff I can't remember. Didn't really do me any good, but the parties were awesome.

My degree is in Documentary Photography. And yes, the parties were awesome. I'm hoping that once we're married and Mark is legal in the UK that I'll be able to get my Masters Degree too.

And Spiffy, it is never too late. If you've changed your mind about travelling for the year perhaps Uni is still an option to you. I'm not sure how it works in Oz, but in the UK you can go whenever you like, and part time courses are ten a penny, so you'd still be able to buy all your lovely CD's and DVD thingies too. Best of both worlds.
