Hello there folks!

Went to the Stockholm gig a couple of days ago (it rocked big time!), and noticed there were several cameras running. Just before Hate Crew Deathroll Alexi told us that the gig were filmed for the upcoming CoB DVD.

I thought that well, maybe they film on song in Stockholm, one song in some other country, one song in some other country and so on, but if you read the news at the first page on the official site it appears that the whole Stockholm gig will be on a official DVD o_O

Now I really wonder; why the hell are they filming the DVD in Stockholm, Sweden? CoB certainly got more fans in Finland, don't they?
Anyway, it will be very interesting to watch the DVD when it's finished :hotjump:

I dont know but one thing could be that Patric Ullaeus (the director) and his crew is swedish and and therefor the easiest would be to shoot the gig in Sweden, and the venue in Stockholm is the best one here to do that. I stood right beside the camera-platform witch was located to the left infront of the stage. Could see the TV-monitor clearly, and from watching that I think the DVD will kick ass. But in the end of the Bodom Beach Terror/Bodom After Midnight mix, something happened to the camera, almost looked like it lost its grip from the cam-arm and the cameraman paniced for while there. But they managed to fix it quickly. Also several cameramen in the photopit and in the audience. Besides of the cameraaccident, everything seemed to go well.

Like Excess said, logistics was probably one of the reasons. Also it's one of the biggest if not the biggest venue on this tour (capacity 3500), in Finland there's pretty much only small clubs plus I guess it's better if the stuff between the songs isn't in Finnish.

How big audience there was then? If it wasn't sold out...I mean that sucks if there was small audience and the venue is huge. very lazy that way.

The venue, Arenan, is contructed in a way that makes it possible to separate it in serveral parts.

On this gig I guess there was something like 2000 in the crowd. Arenan takes max 3500 pers. Then they just put a portable wall trought half the hall, so the place looks 100% sold out anyway. Quite an intelligent construction :)

Also remember if they film it in Finland, the in-show dialogue would be finnish thus rendering it's non-Finland appeal down the pan.

In flames did it in sweden and i have a rough idea what he's saying but it's jus further proof bands should never record live CDs/DVDs i their own country.
