So after a long period of not recording I'm going through the process of upgrading a bunch of software and buying some new gear to do an EP at home. I've got a Kemper on the way and plan to do most of the drums with EZdrummer with the Sneap expansion pack. EZdrummer needs at least PT 8, and the crossgrade to PT 10 is $399. Is there anywhere where I can still get PT 8 and not have to shell out the 4 bills for 10?

If you're a student by any chance you can get Pro Tools 10 brand-new for $300. Not sure if that helps you or not.
I know a few months back PT MP9 was really cheap. Bought it myself for 98 euro. I have no idea if this was only in europe like that. There were also alot of m-audio interfaces that time wich came with PT9, the interfaces were priced like 50 euro more then normal, but came with MP9. Maybe if you look good you can still find abit of these.
