Uriah Heep

I'm actually quite a big fan of Uriah Heep and consider them a woefully underrated band that is often overlooked or even dismissed. I really can't understand why since they have a LOT of great songs.
If you're looking to get to know Heep I reccomend the 2-CD compilation Classic Heep which has all of their best 70's era songs in one package.

Who here actually saw the Heep live? I saw them at the Peoria Civic Center in 1983 opening up for Def Leppard(touring on their last good album), and had seen Hensley about 2 months earlier playing with Blackfoot, who was opening up for Molly Hatchet.
I saw them in Germany, not the classic line-up though since that was 5 years ago... still worth seeing.

Why David Byron had to die? :erk:

I saw them last December, they toured with Dio and Asia. Was a great show which isn't really a surprise because this lineup's been together for 20 years and toured like hell. My recommendation to check out the Bernie Shaw -fronted albums Sea of Light and Sonic Origami still stands...
