Using impulses in Cubase LE

Hello. I have a problem when I use impulses for cubase LE. My impulse response processor is SIR. The problem is I get a very noticeable latency. It says in the readme file: " Due to technical reasons the plugIn works with a fixed latency of 8960 samples that is possibly compensated by the VST-host". Unfortunately it is not compensated by cubase LE. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Are there any free softwares without the latency? Thanks.

Could try tracking without the plugin then adding it after?

if your samplerate is 44100:

44100 / 8960 = 0.0492 seconds

move the file back that much so the latency is compensated.

Voxengo Boogex is free. It is actually an amp emulation vst, but has nice IR section.
The only dissadvantage it has is that it's mono.

thanks for the replies. I usually dont track with it. But it's still there after the fact.
