Using superior with a real drummer?

Hi guys complete noob question here.

Say i track some real drums, is there a way to get them triggered by superior in protools after ive quantized and edited the original performance?

Can i replace my kick, snare (top/bottom) toms, bells etc etc with superior samples or not?
IM lost on whether this can be accomplished with what i have, if someone could give me a crash course how i would be super duper grateful.

Might be a real dumb question but right now im just doing midi drums.

Sorry don't got any first hand experience, but If im not mistaken you can use a plugin to convert the audio to a midi signal.

ok so you can use superior and mf snares and what not if i have drum tracker?

does that eliminate the need for sound replacer in PT?

if you dont have drum-tracker you could manually draw in the velocity hits - although you might be there all week doing it

I found it's quicker most of the time to just draw in the midi data, cut and paste repeats etc then change fills and cymbal hits where needed.

i used midi converters before for like... trying to trigger a bass sampler with my guitar... it sucked horribly... i have to try this one for the drums though... looks really good thanks for the info
