Using transient designer on drums

Hey all,

I said what the hell and sent snare, kick, and toms to a bus and threw a transient designer plugin on them. The initial result was pretty sweet.

Any of you tried this before? As opposed to having the designer on the individual tracks, and then compressing them on a separate bus. Instead, I didn't compress at all, just used TD.

*no not THE transient designer, just a freebe plugin i found somewhere.

i've used it on an aux send, routed back to a stereo channel during analog mixing, really nice
also used it live on a subgroup, drums routed to both the subgroup and the masterbus, also very sweet
