Just wondering if anyone has particular gavourite valves for different amps.

I've a Dual Rect the 2 Channel version and I'm thinking bout putting some nice new tubes in there...

Try with JJ 6L6GC, or svetlana 6L6GC(a little bit more expensive)
But if you're a tube addicted, sometimes it's better to go to those vintage stuff fairs and buy some really old telefunken or mullard tubes, there are people that sell them for cheap, say a really old bad looking radio could have one/two of those still working in a really good way, so you can have a tube radio at a killer price and got these kind of tubes.
Websites usually sell them at an insane price just because they say that's vintage stuff.
