So, it got cloudy this past Friday in DC and began to rain. Good news for me. Since I work at a waterfront outdoor bar, it meant I got to have the night off and my bar manager had an extra pair of tickets to Van Halen that night burning a hole in his pocket. What luck???

Roled up to the MCI center 15 minutes before the mighty Van Hagar took the stage. I ran into so many people I know. Big wigs mostly from area businesses. Regular customers from my job. I would say maybe 15 percent of the crown were die hard fans and the rest were casual rock fans. The average age was probably 30-35. They rocked the fuck out. Eddie was in true form as was the rest of the band. Pretty good considering they're all 50-56. I hope Anthrax can still pull this off in 15 years as well.

Which leads me to the set list. They didn't do quite as many Roth era songs as I would have liked. And they did a few Hagar songs that I either didn't recognize or barely recognized and had forgotten all about.

I wonder if there are people like that with Anthrax??? Unlike Van Halen, I think that the majority of fans at Anthrax shows are die hard fans of the band. Which is why I'm glad they added Random and Anyplace to the set list.

What do you all think the prospects of Anthrax coming back to the states to tour this fall are??

i would say that anthrax selling 70 thousand records in the states only have the diehards left with the exception of a few new fans, that is why they should be doing more bush songs, look after the people that are still buying your records,u are so lucky u got to hear random acts, that goes over so well live.

as for touring the states again, from all the reports alot of there shows didnt do to well, how they extensively tour the country when only 70 thousand people in the usa bought the record is beyond me,the diehard fans like yourself have seen them plenty on this tour, wouldnt u prefer they take a year off and start on a new album, that is why i think maximus is getting delayed,i think it was a huge mistake to want to even release this record on its own, save it for the boxset!!!

I heard that there may be a tour this fall.
The feeling I get is there will be a tour this fall.

And I was also told-- months before MMD came out-- that if WCFYA is gonna sell well, it's going to be thanks to the street team.

I agree 100%...the people going to 'Thrax shows at this point are Bush fans, so play 75% Bush shit and throw in a couple Belladonna tunes for goo dmeasure. I still don't understand why we were getting album tracks Be All End All & Belly Of The Beast but nothing from Stomp, and only one from Vol 8...

If i have my way, Megadeth will take Anthrax on the road with them this fall. It looks like a good possibility.

Megadeth are soooo boring live. Plus, the mighty Thrax shalln't open for a band they once co-headlined w/. If it must happen though, throw Testament in there, and you've got a good ol' bill.

I don't give a fuck if they open for Willy Nelson (who I love by the way) I'm there no mater what. My only request.! Drop Bring the noise, Got the time and Antisocial from the set list. Add Burst, Gung Ho, And Catharsis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This reasoning is insane.

Megadeth / Anthrax will sell well. Anthrax would be lucky to tour with Megadeth. Better still with Testament.

And I like all three bands in question, btw.
