So, it got cloudy this past Friday in DC and began to rain. Good news for me. Since I work at a waterfront outdoor bar, it meant I got to have the night off and my bar manager had an extra pair of tickets to Van Halen that night burning a hole in his pocket. What luck???

Roled up to the MCI center 15 minutes before the mighty Van Hagar took the stage. I ran into so many people I know. Big wigs mostly from area businesses. Regular customers from my job. I would say maybe 15 percent of the crown were die hard fans and the rest were casual rock fans. The average age was probably 30-35. They rocked the fuck out. Eddie was in true form as was the rest of the band. Pretty good considering they're all 50-56. I hope Anthrax can still pull this off in 15 years as well.

Which leads me to the set list. They didn't do quite as many Roth era songs as I would have liked. And they did a few Hagar songs that I either didn't recognize or barely recognized and had forgotten all about.

I wonder if there are people like that with Anthrax??? Unlike Van Halen, I think that the majority of fans at Anthrax shows are die hard fans of the band. Which is why I'm glad they added Random and Anyplace to the set list.

What do you all think the prospects of Anthrax coming back to the states to tour this fall are??
