even if they do put out another album, eddie said it won't be like classic van halen which bummed me out. Eddie is wasting his talent away.

i remember one time van halen said they'd never tour without some new product out there. so if they tour this year thats 2 tours now without something new

Even though I would like a new album with DLR, I don't mind the alternative and go see them live again as many times as I can before they have a fallen out lol

if anyone else likes DLR solo stuff like me, i'm a little pissed that the drama of van halen has stopped him from releasing more solo stuff the last 14 years. in 1994 he released your filthy little mouth and after the tour wrapped up started a solo album. he got the call from van halen to reunite and do the 2 new tracks for the best of volume 1 cd and thinking he was back in van halen his record company put together a best of his solo stuff and used 1 new tune "don't piss me off" from the sessions right before he rejoined van halen. the van halen reunion thing didn't work out and he put out one of his best solo released DLR BAND. he toured a few years and in 2000 started another solo album but what happened? a call again from van halen to get back together.for most of 2000 and 2001 DLR worked with van halen again but nothing came out. in 2002 DLR did the summer tour with sammy hagar and then to get new product on the shelf did a covers album released in 2003 that included 1 tune "thug pop" from the 2000 solo album sessions. DLR expected van halen to call him back around 2003 while he was on tour to support the covers album but instead hagar had rejoined.

after the tour to support the covers album dave started another solo album in 2005 but before it was completed a call came from van halen yet again. since 2006 DLR has been back in van halen yet no new product and now the rumor is DLR is working on another solo album. will this one be finished before van halen comes knocking again to do a tour or maybe work on new material? lets hope not as they've already ended 3 DLR solo albums.
