VERY bad clicks and pops in audio help???

Well to start off i am running an old program (cubase sx3) on a windows 7 64.hahaha. I was thinking that because of that mix its not running properly so i do wanna upgrade my software forsure...

My hardware is a mackie onxy

My computer was built so everything in it is up to speed 6core processor ton of ram8gigs ram ..Grafix card.. Anyway on play back i get bad audio clicks and pops that stand out.. I never had this happen before.. Its not coming from the guitar signal i tried different set ups.. Its on the cd when i burn them... I just dont know what it could be from???
