Very realistic Stereo 3D audio

i've found its 2.5d-ish - i hear left / right & rear but no front

I've read up on this topic quite a bit before, and basically what they discovered to be missing is tiny subconcious movements of the head (turning left and right) that are needed to hear if something is at the front or in the back...
If I recall correctly they experimented with some sort of "live transmitting" from one room to another, where some sensors tracked head movements and instantly moved the dummy head in the other room accordingly. I think it worked.
Another thing to take into account is that every ear is shaped differently. The more similar the dummy's ear is to your own, the better it works.
