I enjoyed this band a lot and FG-X quite clearly pwned my old mastering chain in this case. Much more true to the original mix. I didn't go super loud either, this style of Metal doesn't need it IMO. My solo is around 5:15

Thanks man. I didn't have anything to do with the recording / mixing, just the mastering. The guitarist / singer is a good friend of mine, he's pretty new at singing, so maybe he was overzealous with the Melodyne! I think he has a cool voice and a ton of potential though, he reminds of Vortex kind of.
