Hi, all! How about a vintage snare? I sampled a 14inch by 5inch mid/late 1960s Rogers Dynasonic snare drum. Chrome-over-brass 5-line shell. Recorded in 16bit, 44.1K stereo .WAV files. Mics used were a shure sm57 close mic, and neumann km 84s in an x-y position as close as I could get to my head, to best approximate the sound the drummer hears from his perspective. Available in left and right hand variations with five increasing velocities; soft, mid, hard, crack and rimshot. I feel I created nice variation and I'd love to hear any mixes you guys choose to use them in. Feedback is welcome. Hope you all enjoy and please let me know what you think.

Unfortunately very little of the equipment I'm sampling is mine, I've borrowed most of the sets and snares, so little chance of photos. I do think it would be good to have a specific folder on the forum for samples, instead of the just the META thread, if a moderator is willing to create one. I'm trying to get a selection of the best of the best that's out there and make their sounds available to the public. I'm really looking forward to hearing some of them in a mix. Once again, I appreciate the feedback - keep it coming!
