vocal break up (im dumb sry)

how do you get the vocals to break up?

all ive found is muting in spots but it sounds like crap
is there a program you use?
or something that uses midi (preferably)?

i want to use it for guitars in some places, but i cant get it so sound right

Dblue glitch is good I just solo the stutter one (gater I believe?) and it's free
I just automate it
Also if you have $100 effectrix is great..
A guy I interned for had it it's pretty mice

The glitch plugin is OK. But manually is be far better! You can make em quarter, 8th and 16th notes and in any order by manually doing it!

Well with doing it by hand I never get the same results. There's a certain "mix %, attack and decay" value I can never get. And by hand it always sounds TOO choppy ya know what I mean?

Be attentive of the AMOUNT of space you are removing when you edit. Be sure all cuts, or splits, in the track are perfectly on time with the grid.
