Got a Vox NT50 head the other day as payment for a session.
Beautiful Vox clean sound as expected but I wanted to test it for some loose sludgy stuff too.
Luckily Deathprayer82 uploaded a Hypocrisy cover that was perfect for this test.

I haven't decided if I will keep or sell the Vox.
What do you think of the sound?

Yeah.
I think I will keep it.
My amp collection is starting to get out of hand a bit :)

Used this for a pop punk band today.
Amazing mid gain crunch sound.
Really smooth and fat.
The band were amazed at how good it sounded.
Gonna keep it for sure :)

Single 57 placed on rectifier cab using pink noise.
Haven't heard the trivium album.
This is a fantastic little head and pretty cheap second hand.

I will se if I can get it Kempered.
It is a first edition one.
Here is the tracking mix for one of the songs from the pop punk session from the past couple of days.
Not cleaned up yet and I just threw a limiter on it for level for the band to take away.
All guitars are Charvel So Cal USA into the box with no boosts, all settings at 12 o'clock on drive and clean channels and master so its just about driving the power amp tubes. Tight switch on.

Had a listen to the pop punk rough mix on headphones at home with fresh ears.
The dynamic response is nothing short of amazing.
Most amps will break up when you dig in but the vox just gets more saturated and fatter.
The clean sound is stunning and inspiring when you play.
I really think this amp will be highly collectable in a few years.
I would never have thought of getting one but just got lucky.
Even the rough mix is loud and clear because the mid range of the guitars is sitting in the perfect frequency range.

Well damn. That sounds quite a bit better than it's price tag may suggest....
