Seattle, WA - Waking Hour to open for Stratovarious at Studio 7 October 6

A night of progressive rock and power metal awaits fans at Studio 7 the 6th
of October. Waking Hour opens for the renowned power metal band from
Finland, Stratovarious; with Into Eternity, Final Hour and local favorites
Lyranthe also opening the show.

Waking Hour formed in the winter of 2004, out of the ashes of Spokane
Washington's premier progressive metal band Eightfold Path, after relocating
to join Seattle's thriving metal scene. The band includes original
guitarist Mike Calvert and drummer Tony Duncan. Vocalist Steve Collins,
keyboardist Barry Craig, and bassist Peter Serrana joined Mike and Tony in
Seattle to complete the new band.

"When Mike told me he was moving to Seattle and asked me to play for them,
it was an honor and I didn't think twice about it", says drummer Duncan "We
clicked like no one I have ever played with before." When asked how it felt
to be performing again after a year of downtime, Calvert stated that, "It
feels good to be up and running again. The new guys have brought a lot of
fresh energy into the band; I can't wait to see how that translates to the
stage." Duncan than adds that "With these guys, anything is possible and
some of the new stuff we are working on behind the scenes really shows the
bands versatility. Everyone is very energetic and excited to get out there
and perform live."

Waking Hour's sound is in the vein of Dream Theater, Queensryche, and Pain
of Salvation, with plenty of industrial and World-music elements. To listen
to MP3's or to find out more about the band, visit Waking Hour's web site,
www.wakinghour.com or at www.myspace.com/wakinghour.

The show is Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Studio 7, 110 South
Horton, Seattle, WA. (one block north of Spokane Street, between 1st Ave
South and Occidental). The cost is $27.50 (but can be purchased for $23
through Ticketswest or $21 through Waking Hour's web site), and the show is
all ages, but an upstairs bar for 21+ (must have ID) is available to enjoy.
