Hey guys my macbook pro is sometimes out of power because of big projects, so I need a faster setup for the future.
FG-X is eaten up 50% of my CPU power!!!!

So my question:
-Anybody on this board who succesfull build an Hackintosh?
-what components did you use?

dont want to spent more then 1k €.....

Never ever create a hackintosh with a pata DVD, it won't work, period! sata dvd drives or at least an external dvd player
with a ATI would be a bit more difficult to get it working, due to the fact you gotta set up a driver for the card yourself.
NVIDIA is the way to go.
In the end you'll be so happy like me and you'll buy the real thing (I started with a hack to see if I like it) .... well you gotta save some money!

I own a macbook pro...kaomao ;)

The real deal is so fucking expensive!!! its insane, no way I can spend 3K on a COMPUTER!?!?!

what do I do before putting my snow leopard install dvd in?
Do I need any extra software to be able to install that shit?

cheers and thanx guys!!!

You will have to set or install some kext file for the things that will not work....for example suspension, integrated audio and something like that.

That's no longer true. Pick the right components, use MyHack installer.. and you don't need to manually do shit.

This shits getting easier than installing Windows - for real!

retail installs are where it's at these days.

Gigabyte mobo, nvidia graphics (or one of the various ATI cards that have been/ are supported), i7......you know the drill.

Don't bother with any distro's other than MyHack. In fact MyHack isn't a distro, it's a patch. You patch your vanilla retail DVD, and boot into it... rest is easy.
