So I kept listening to the album a lot the last few days. It definitly grew on me.
The first 4 Songs are very good. Especially One More Year and When Doves Cry Blood. Those two are masterpieces and my favorites from the album.
The "wall of sound / noise" production Style doesnt hurt as much as on the later tracks since the first 4 have quite long melodic sections without vocals over them.
Out for Blood has a nice Melodic part in the second half but the overall song is weaker than the first 4.
Kingdom of Rust unfortunately really suffers from the production. It starts with the chorus melody but without vocals, which is very nice. Later when the vocals are added you can barely hear that melody because its so burried in the wall of sound. I think the song is written very good but the result unfortunately suffers from the mix. Luckily it still kind of works since you hear the melody clearly in the beginning and have it in your head after a few listenings. So you can recognize it later in the song altgough its burried in the wall of sound.
March or Die is probably the weakest song on the album for me.
Untouched, Coup the Grace and Dethroned suffeer a lot from the mix again. After a few listenings you can hear the melodies in the chorus parts out. I think those 3 songs are also not bad but they could be much better with a more clear Mix.
Also the keyboard section in Dethroned reminds me of the keyboard section in Widdershins.
The Cover Song is okay. Its Not Bad but I prefer Pop Song Covers.
Since I wrote a lot about the vocals: I think the vocals are great. Amazing Job by Petri. Its just they way everything is mixed together that is problematic.
The Album could be a 9/10 or maybe even 10/10 after a few listenings. But with the mix its more like a 7/10.
