Hey there!:headbang:

This is a song I like so much that I had to rewrite it from head to toe, using Superior 2.0, Revalver III and modifying something it's structure and adding some new parts.

I also had the pleasure of using my brand new guitar: Caparison Horus Yellow Sand :D Sexy as hell finish ;)

You can hear it through Soundclick or either Myspace:
Soundclick or MySpace

Thanks for listening!!
What would you change?? :loco:

OMG...great sound dude (but id bring down the kick a little bit and bring up oh)
i really like the song :headbang:

p.s: Can i be you?...:worship:

Maybe a bit mids in the guitar, maybe a tad lower on the kick, but those are just maybe's based on what I would do. Killer!

Awesome stuff. Great violins.

Spioraid, I assume you meant to say "less mids" in the guitar, cuz I'd agree - I like a middy tone, but this one is a bit thin (so maybe more lows as well) and kinda has that "AM radio" effect going on. Sweetness though dude, I think the kick volume is fine, and I dig the drum sound!

Nice song! I love to hear nevermore style sweeps @ 3:11 - 3:25. Hehe I guess i just listened to nevermore a while ago.

Copy-Paste from this thread

Ok, bass settings are a bit of a mess (even more than guitars but not as much as the kick ):

I use the HardcoreBass plugin with the Lakland Finger Deep (LFD Hardcore 2)

I routed the bass to a mixer channel and used an EQ and then compressor.
Then i sent that channel to the Master AND to another mixer channel as well.

In the second mixer channel, i processed the aready compressed and clean bass sound with an EQ, Overdrive, a 8x10 impulse i got from somewhere i don't know (probably this forums) another compressor to equal the dinamics of the distorted sound with the clean one, then a post EQ to boost some mids. THEN i sent everyting to the Master bus as well.

A bit messy but I'll show some pics so maybe u can figure it out better.

I don't know how i haven't gone mad with all that mess

Drums: The BIG deal...

Well, this is really the worst part to explain as it's a bit messed up.

Yes!

You have a perfect understanding of the classical approach of this kind of music, i find your tunes very, very interesting and very well orchestrated! not one bit that bored me or one bit i wanted to forward/skip.

Amazing stuff!
