It's just a personal thing for me. I absolutely recognize (in this day and age) that people are getting older and older before deciding to have kids.

Right about now, I'm going to be 45 when my oldest turns 14 and I think it's good not to have such a huge age gap. I'd like to be able to relate to the kids somewhat.

My dad was 50 when I was 15 and I couldn't relate to him at all. Just too much of an age gap at that point, but yeah, it all depends on the individuals.

my dad is 65 now and still acts like hes fucking 17. it's ok.

It's a sweeping statement for sure, but I'd say for the large part, there is something built into the DNA of a girl which makes her

(a) attracted to the dickhead (mostly the guy that shows the least interest)
(b) think that she can "change" the guy (tame the beast, so to speak)

This is iterative until she wakes up one day and realizes she's no longer 19. This normally happens at around 27. I've done a few years worth of research on this, but alas, the dog ate my homework.

but yes, a lot of women want to go hook up with the "culturally cool" gangsta who thinks he grew up in the ghetto and not the nice suburb. And then try and change him into a respectable person. And the nice guy just isn't "cool" enough for them so they avoid them/ditch them like the plague.

You can be a broke ass but still have goals in life. You can be rich and without goals. Security, yes, not financial security though. Gonna earn my own money, so fuck that. I'm not going to live off anyone else.

So let's see: German female, wears boots, listens to depressive metal, lives in Berlin, lots of platonic male friendships....not for nothing, but on paper that describes "militant feminist". Not saying you are, and it's fine either way, but it's certainly a form of stereotype. I think the types of girls discussed here are the "girly girl" chick types who giggle when 'James Dean' walks through the door.
