Urs Channel Strip Pro.

the demo was such a nightmare to install i gave up and bought metric halo channelstrip.
i did try urs channel strip, but just didnt really like it

kind of a CPU pig on my system though

the EQ's alone are totally worth it.

Yeah, id give that plug another shot. Its really one of the best i've heard and eq wise its the best, imo, in terms of color and flavors to choose from. Metric halo is great, but if i had to mix with one channel strip itd be the URS pro. There is soooo many great sounds for a plugin in there...

Haven't had a chance to demo the URS or Waves API yet, but I'm really digging the UAD Neve 88RS strip at the moment. I usually work with the Waves SSL, but (resources permitting) I'll be going with the Neve for most applications.

I've yet to try the URS Classic Console Strip Pro. It was at a studio I recently tracked at, but I didn't get a chance to do any mixing. I can't afford it for home either, haha. Might have to stick with the Waves SSL E-Channel

urs channelstrip is great....all urs plugs implemented the scroll wheel to turn the knobs too great for those of us without an icon yet. no one else has the input section either which really effects where you can go with the signal.

i cant say i was amazed by the sound of any one section of the plugin its how it works together that is key.

i dunno, i used it and i wasnt hit by the same dear god this is amazing factor that channelstrip or uad or sonnox stuff gives me, it was more of a ; well this is pretty cool.... but theres too much going on, and it sounds....okay. i guess

the api stuff is good the compressor is better than good its great. the eqs arent much different to the urs eqs. i want to buy just the compressor.
