I have a phase 22 soundcard.
When i have Nuendo open, and try to play a mp3 file in windows media player it's stuck. And nothing works anymore, so somebody told me i had to install WDM drivers for my card.

This is a technology that let's u use more apps at the same time.

I downloaded the app but don't know how to install it.
I have a AsioPTec.dll file an put it into my system32 folder.

But nothing seems to help.

There are also these protec.inf and protec.sys files.

But i have no idea where to put them.

The other file is a exe to install the control panel.

ANYONE !!??

What soundcard?

I know in sonar i can switch between ASIO, WDM and such... but in Sonar, i have the option to Share drivers with other progs on ASIO..

Give me details and i can answer further.

never heard of that thing

Windows doesn't automatically use ASIO drivers. So when you plug the card in for the first time it should have installed the wdm drivers.
You know it did if you can open up the control panel - Sounds and Audio Devices and set it to be the default device.

In Nuendo choose the ASIO driver for it, don't just keep it on default or then they're sharing the same driver. There is also a 'release driver in background' checkbox you can try.
