well, frankly, the people who get this deserve it for pirating software anyway. I am getting sick and tired of hearing about people pirating software. Although I use MAC basically exclusively and 100% prefer its OS, I don't really understand the MAC snob outlook on things like some people have. Yes, I believe MAC OSX is better, but seriously, who cares. MAC and PC can both be killer computers.

Piracy just gives torrenting a bad name, though. It's primarily used for illegal stuff, but what about Nebula programs? When they get to be as large as they get, and developers cannot provide the hosting or the bandwidth for their things because they can't really afford it, they turn to torrenting. Same with Linux and such. It makes more sense to use P2P effectively.

Although, if you're running a Mac, you're not using Nebula OR Linux. I suppose my points are trash, haha

at the end of the day i don't care if people use windows. i want less people to use mac anyway, the more mass it becomes the less the quality so everyone could stick to their $499 HP pavillions with windows vista as far as i'm concerned.

You have to be intentionally installing pirated software to get this malware. Windows is still subject to viruses that install in the background, and require no user action whatsoever.

Malware for the Mac that requires a user to self-install is nothing new, it's been around for years.

The security of Mac OS X is still undefeated. Any OS, no matter how secure, will always be susceptible to malware that requires the user to deliberately install it. I'm not a Mac snob, these are simple facts. My primary machine is a "hackintosh" I built myself from parts I got at NewEgg. I run Mac OS X because it is the best operating system available, and that reason alone.
