Being serious for a second though, I think it's about how we as humans and individuals each bring about our own problems.

We in effect dig our own graves by our deeds, so everything that is in the deep dark hole (in the ground and inside us/her) is there of our own construction.

Kind of you reap what you sow, if you sow lizards and snakes and bugs, then don't be surprised when life takes a shit on you.

Well, that's what I thought anyway.
