Weird amp tone?

I have lately been working on getting a good metal tone like Bullet for my Valentine and was satisfied with what I had. I had made some recordings with my settings and hadn't touched them. Now it's been a couple days and when I record now my sound is completely different. It sounds like a chorus effect, and it worsens when doubling guitars. I have a peavey 6505+ with a tubescreamer miked with an SM58. Nothing has been moved or altered, is something wrong with my amp?
