weirdest intro to an opeth song?

That's what it is chaveta.
I think the intro to By the Pain I See in Others is really odd. The riff is definately more groove-oriented than their other stuff, and the fade in is weird.

ohhh yeah i think i read that somewhere... i think in the "session diary" for orchid in opeth.com

i think its a wonderful mastering fuck-up though :)

Fade-in intros on album-opening tracks like The Moor and The Leper Affinity make me wish I was rotting in a grave six feet under the earth. Honestly, I feel like skipping both of these tracks most of the time, just because of their annoying intros, though I love both of the songs.
If The Moor in particular began immediately w/ the screaming that comes after the slow intro, it would completely change the pace of the album and make it a much more enjoyable listening experience for me.

EDIT:
On the other hand, though I don't particularly like Wreath, it's intro is so gripping, it sets a stage for the album and draws in the listener. Similarly, the intro to In the Mist She Was Standing's fast pace is gripping enough that I don't lose interest before the song properly begins. Oddly, Advent and Prologue don't bother me at all....
Guess i'm just fucked in the head.

I don't believe in the word "weird" It is a term that people use when they don't understand something eg. a David Lynch film

Therefore I don't think any intro is "weird" but some are interesting.
