Hi there, new here, thought I would introduce myself. I write reviews for a website called Sonic Death (no Opeth yet, but we will get there!). I have all the albums and I rate them in this order:

Still Life
Morningrise
My Arms Your Hearse
Orchid

I haven't included Blackwater Park because even though I have had it a few months, I have only listened to it twice! SHAME ON ME! In fact I will listen to it in a minute. *ahem*, anyway, there you go...my fave Opeth song at the moment is Benighted.

as a matter of fact i am listening to benighten as we type......about 3:25 into the song, there is about three seconds of just down-scaling notes that just takes my breath away....check it out!!!!!

Does anybody else hear a sort of Mark Knophler (sp?) influence on the chorused out guitar break in Benighted? There is a riff with similar tone on BWP too, maybe Dirge for November..
