ZWAN Cover IRON MAIDEN Classic On Upcoming Single - Jan. 14, 2003

Former SMASHING PUMPKINS mainman Billy Corgan's new band, ZWAN, have recorded a cover of the IRON MAIDEN classic "Number of the Beast" for inclusion on their upcoming "Honestly" single.

The three-track CD will also feature the non-album track "Freedom Ain't What It Used To Be".

ZWAN, whose lineup is completed by ex-PUMPKINS drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, former CHAVEZ guitarist Matt Sweeney, ex-SLINT guitarist David Pajo, and A PERFECT CIRCLE bassist Paz Lechantin, will issue their debut album, "Mary Star Of The Sea", on Jan. 28 through Reprise Records.

Why would this make us feel sick? I'm curious as hell to hear this. I can't imagine Billy Corgan singing Maiden.

Kind of like Tori Amos's cover of Slayer's Reign In Blood.

Should be interesting to hear, but I doubt that they'll do anything different to it like Tori did.
