I only want to know if there is someone out there who listens to this king of music: Genesis, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and other 70s/80s great bands...
Bye! :)

Progging a-plenty !

I'll do a list for now - it's too late for coherent descriptions (2:30 AM): King Crimson, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, Yes, Genesis, Camel, Magma, Henry Cow, Univers Zero, Anekdoten, Happy The Man, Anglagard, Heldon, Gong, Art Zoyd, Van Der Graaf Generator/Peter Hammill, Art Bears, etc etc in no particular order.

D Mullholand

I like some progressive rock and metal
Opeth for sure
Therion is pretty progressive
Spiral Architect is pretty interesting
as for old 70's bands, I love Uriah Heep and early Genesis
I loved the early Marillion stuff and now I like Porcupine Tree
and Pain of Salvation.

Some of this so called prog-metal I don't consider progressive
at all. If you do the same shit over and over and sound like
a hundred othe bands, how progressive it that?

Prog rock is boring.

Prog metal and technical prog metal is AWESOME.

Spiral Architect, Dream Theatre, Psychotic Waltz, Nevermore (POE).

why not take some rush, pink floyd, genesis, yes, and kansas along with my opeth, cynic, katatonia, and maudlin of the well?

Well, I don't listen much anymore, since there is so much stuff since then that is harder, but that's my era of music when growing up.

Keith Emerson [IMO] is the most underrated keyboardist - I liked him more than Rick Wakeman.

ELP, Yes - good music

Other 70's/80's I've listened to (there has been a lot - I'll list a few):
Styx
Electric Light Orchestra
Kansas
Rush
Ten Years After
Winger (I have all 3 albums:confused: )
Kiss
Aerosmith
Led Zeppelin
