What about SHIT-THRAX guys..

It depends. If a miracle happens, the new singer will rock and they will release a badass thrash album like Among the Living. But its safe to assume that won't happen and if it falls flat on its face Scott and Charlie will blame it all on the new guy.
 
I think their chances are about as good as they usually are. I doubt it will be a huge selling album in the U.S. No rock/metal bands are selling cd's here. As far as the quality of the music, who knows? They have the potential to release a great album, but we'll see. I'll listen to it before I judge it.

So, this new singer, he doesn't look like the guy you predicted...:lol:

Not looking to start shit here guys, but Billy, c'mon, I thought you didn't care. Besides, you've ripped on Anthrax that much through the years and the best you can come up with is SHIT-THRAX? That's kinda weak dude. I hope the new guy puts new fire into Anthrax. Despite what anyone says, they deserve it.

I thought shit thrax was pretty good
 
seems they want to make a full on metal thrash album, they will take their time work hard and all according to Scott. After their last album, I never want to hear anything by them again.
 
I personally think their chances are slim to no chance at success with their next cd. They created some hype with the reunion, but with the time between that and the next cd is going to be to great to overcome. I haven't cared for them since Sound of White Noise and think they should of hired Brian Posehn to be their vocalist for the joke they have become.

I can't see how a thrash band will attain any real level of success this day and age. Young kids don't dig that music anymore. I would imagine they could have some moderate success with they're old fans, but it seems from these boards that even the most loyal are somewhat disgusted.

If they go and change their style to "modernize", then even the loyal fans will turn on them.

Great point! What do you expect from 3 pricks. Dave Mustaine finally started putting better music out again, but now is a religious, political freak.

Anthrax...are those guys still around? Scott Ian is joining the same ranks of Annihilator with their problem of keeping a vocalist. Maybe Scott should ask Jeff Waters if Randy Rampage or Coburn Pharr are available.

And which cd should I be listening to? Sound of White Noise was good, but I have only purchased Stomp 442 and Volume 8, both of which sucked. Don't really see a need to buy anything else of theirs or even waste my time listening to anything else they have put out because someone else thinks it's good.

I would listen to it because of Posehn, not Anthrax.

SOD made their career......are you serious? I'd say records like Spreading and Among really made their career. I have about 8 mates who are longtime Anthrax fans (as in buy their records, go to shows, buy t-shirts etc) and out of all of them only 1 apart from me actually even knows SOD stuff. Why the fuck Billy do you claim in some interviews that you've put those guys behind you then you start bullshit threads like this? Also I have to laugh when your Anthrax thread gets 5 times as much attention as anything else on this pissy board. OFGDO.
