I mean Charlie Benante is a good songwriter, but a rather amateur human being. He's really not a nice person at all. He tries to come across as sensitive, but he's only sensitive internally. Being a pussy doesn't make one a nice person, and that's what Charlie is. He's most likely spending the holidays stewing over how every other metal band from his era was more successful.

How do I know this? I learned it last night while I was at the House of Guitars. For those of you not familiar. Rochester NY is famous for Kodak, Genessee Beer and The House of Guitars. Anyway, last night I was in there to pick up a new guitar. As I do everytime I go into the HOG, I squeeze between the wall and shitty display case to see if there are any interesting or collectible used guitars. In the back, covered up by a Kramer Striker and a old Ibanez X-series, sat a white USA made strat. I pulled that bitch out, only to find out it had writing all over it. It was the guitar that Anthrax had autographed when they came to Rochester for their ATL tour. I remember because, I was in middle school and skipped the last part of the day to get their autographs before the show that night.
This guitar used to sit in the big cylinder shaped display case that you see when you first walk in. If you have ever been to the HOG, you know and understand the significance of this case. EVERY band that comes to the HOG autographes something. If your band is huge, you get put in the centerpiece display.This guitar sat in there along with a double-neck SG signed by Jimmy Page, a Les Paul signed by Les Paul, a Strat signed by Clapton, a Wolfgang model Peavey signed by EVH, etc.
When I asked my buddy that works there what was up with the Thrax guitar being taken down. He looked at me like I was an idiot and said "Dude, do I really have to explain it?"

I haven't been to HOG since 01'. Do they still have t-shirts piled on the floor everywhere?

They do but, now there is a twist. Instead of diving in yourself and finding what you want among the piles. They roped it off and you have to tell one of the nowhere to be found HOG employees what you want. At least that is what you are supposed to do. . .

Fuck Anthrax. Any band that slams their previous singer, re-records his old songs using their current and "better" singer - then sacks their current singer to make easy money with their old singer who they claimed couldn't even sing in tune, well, that's just a crappy bunch of people.
Fuck them. Best of luck to John Bush and anyone else they ever fucked in the ass for money.

I remember about 5 years ago they were telling everyone that they wee a rock band not a thrash band...

Meh. I remember when they were doing the Clash of the Titans tour and Scott pulled the 'we're just a rock band' thing. Then when Stomp 442 came out, he was saying 'we've always been more of a hardcore band'. Then when Volume 8 came out, he was quoted as saying 'I'm the first one to call us a metal band'. Really Scott, pick a genre.

I'm expecting the album to suck. The last time they put out an album I liked was Sound of White Noise. Everything since then has been boring and the fans have shown that they liked Joey on the vocals more than Bush and this new guy apparently sounds a lot like Bush.

Lastly, Sirius Hard Attack has been playing Alphabet City Stomp a lot and it fucking kicks!

I don't know about anyone else here, but I hate liars & backstabbers, so I don't blame Billy for talking shit about Anthrax. If a good friend(s) screwed you over, wouldn't you want to beat their ass & talk shit about them. Bottom line, Scott & Charlie screwed Billy, Danny and the rest of the S.O.D. fans.

That's been their MO for some time. They fucked over Joey Belladonna, John Bush, Rob Caggiano(sp?) and Joey Vera just in Anthrax. Have these guys been above board on fucking anything?

Hell, Charlie was even talking shit about their fans (old article on Blabbermouth, something about fat, burrito eaters iirc).

I used to be a big fan of Anthrax, but I've gotten sick of their shit. They've joined the ranks of Metallica and Megadeth in bands I no longer support in any way.

Off topic, but why does Scott always feel the need to verbally fellate Metallica in almost every TV interview I see him in, saying stuff like (I'm paraphrasing) "if you don't think Ender Sandman is one of their best songs I'll FIGHT YOU!!!"? Is he not so subtly trying to get the opening spot on Metallica's next tour or something?

Another Scott double-face. When Metallica was doing Lollapalooza, Scott did some interview stating that they had contacted Metallica to get on the tour, but they weren't interested in any bands from 'that' era and he said how Metallica 'forgot where they came from' or some shit.

Ok, I can say that I have been a LONG Time Anthrax fan. But they've fucked up one too many times (Charlie & Scott) And where they were going with the reunion was a fucking excellent idea IMO, Having a new album with the original lineup made alot of people have some hope, Even people my age (20), There are alot of younger metal fans today than you think that's into old school thrash. But I can seriously say that I supported Anthrax through their reunion, I went to shows, I signed up for the CDC, I bought shirts, CD's, Posters, Everything to help them out. But now, Fuck them, They chose the wrong fuckin' road. Although now I can say I support Milano. He doesn't go back on his word, Like some people...
