What are some good keyboards??

Martin uses Korg and I really always hear good things about Korg...I couldn't point you torwards specific models though, I'm not a keyboard player :p

I´d say Roland or Korg. Since Martin and I aren´t that rich, we only use old cheap models. One thing that rules is Propellerheads Reason. We used it alot on Spectral. It´s a software synth and you really can get good sounds from it.

It's this awesome music making program, it's not free but if you got some evil haxx0r warex (read downloading) skills, you can get it easily for free. Try looking from some p2p programs. I got mine from DC.

Reason is awesome!

-Korg Tritons are basically one of the best keyboards on the market. Anything Korg is remotely incredible.
-Roland XP10s are classic keyboards with incredible drum samples.
-Roland XP90s are a better version of the 10 that a lot of metal bands use..
-Yamaha makes really good keyboards for the price in which they are sold at... but they're not as good as the Korgs or Rolands (IMO)
-Reason, Fruityloops, or my favorite program Impulse Tracker (www.noisemusic.org/it) are very well for simulating keyboard sounds. Impulse Tracker was popular in like 1995 :) I still use it today. Here's an example of a remix I did where I showed what Impulse Tracker can do using a Korg sample in the beginning: http://www.ibsocialclub.org/illusion/FaceShrineMix.mp3

I bought the new korg triton extreme over the summer, it is fucking awesome. i also use a korg triton classic pro, korg karma, a yamaha p-90, and a roland ax-7 midi-controller. im hoping to get an endorsement from korg at some point...

i'll buy one off of you!

This is defenitely my strong point. I'm a pro keyboardist and i'm in 3 metal bands. Here's what i use in my rig

Keyboards:
-Korg 01/Wfd (kicks the triton's ass up and down the block)
-Yamaha DX7 (best midi controller ever)
-Korg Polysix (best analog lead sounds, only great if you have external effects)

Racks:
-Roland JV-1080 (stratovarious type sounds)
-Korg 05/W
-Matrix 6R (cheesy X-pander replica)
-Matrix 1000 (now this one is good)

Effects:
-Korg PME40X Guitar effects (yes, GUITAR effects, used with Polysix)
-Electro Harmonix Mistress Flanger (also with Polysix)

if you had to get one keyboard, i would say go for the Korg 01/Wfd, not the triton, triton is full of crap too much techno. doesn't have enough balls either. anyway, email me with questions mannequin12@hotmail.com or IM me at Yn9wie
