311 - Grassroots (album)

I love 311 for the same reason I love Threshold. Though I am sure this kind of music is outside of the range of a lot of your tastes. I have a fairly wide range =)

They do not write negative themed songs (in fact 311 is far more positive than Threshold)
Just about everything they create is worth listening to. (how many bands can accomplish this, I can only think of ~5 tops)
311 puts on an incredible live show (I wish Threshold would do a NA tour, I've never seen them live, oh and I like Damian better, so that's a plus for me)
