Sacramentum - Blood Shall be Spilled

why do so many people think thats close to being one of the best on the album :/ almost definitely my least favourite of the proper tracks, always thought it was less mature, beautiful and subtle than the rest, though still really good

incidentally, here's my order of preference!:
1. cries from a restless soul
2. obsolete tears
3. beyond all horizons
4. far away from the sun
5. when night surrounds me (don't shout at me somberlain, i seriously really love this song i just love the others more)
6. fog's kiss
7. the vision and the voice
8. blood shall be spilled
9. last two tracks spliced together like they are on my version (almost put this eighth 'cause i adore it, but it's sort of awful at the same time :/)

edit: actually, I like all the songs on that album nearly equally. But the other one I posted is definitely my favorite.

On 'blood shall be spilled' there is this part with two guitar harmonies that later become offtimed or something along those lines. The first time I heard this part had to replay the section because it was mindblowing. One of the highlights of the entire album.

The entire album is equally good. Far Away From The Sun has some of the best guitar playing and drumming in extreme music plain and simple.

Some of you have kept me in touch with extreme music when I was getting sick of it by mentioning albums like this. FAFTS is the first black metal or BM influenced album that really hit me hard. The album is really sophisticated musically without any comedy value. Sacramentum did not need to be like every other band wearing corpsepaint. I respect them a lot for not being trendy and cliche.
