What boarders' meat do you want to beat?

If you like hitting women, go see the Wicker Man. Nicholas Cage slugs at least 3 random chicks in that movie for no reason at all, its hilarious.

EDIT: And he's wearing a bear costume while he hits one of them. Most random thing ever.

please review the film before I waste money on it...is it as bad as they say?
the original is one of my fave movies of all time

I was going to see The Wicker Man today because the original is also one of my favorite movies EVER, and I suppose I wanted to tortue myself by seeing it remade into shit, by keeping hope that it might be decent at least. But I have heard nothing but bad reviews, even from people not familiar with the original, so I feel I should keep far far away.

Damn, is the remake that bad?

Crap, I LOVE the original, I own the DVD and though I didn't think the remake was going to be good I was a little bit hopeful.

Good thing I didn't go see it. Maybe I'll see the Illusionist instead.

Much has been said of the strumpets of yore
Of wenches and bawdy house queens by the score,
But I sing of a baggage that we all adore
The landlord's daughterrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I didn't even know this was a remake...shit, are there ANY original movies coming out these days???

Anyway, the first half of the movie is okay, kind of creepy, but it becomes totally retarded about the time Cage's character meets with "Sister Summersisle." The plot was fucking retarded, its like they orchestrate this entire scam on the island just to kill this one dumb jackass, for no reason whatsoever.

The original Wicker Man is undoubtedly one of the most influential films of all time.

I cannot help but dismiss any kind of americanized hollywood remake (which puts in major plot changes) as sensationalist rubbish.

A remake of Battle Royale has been greenlit. It has the potential to be good, since the subtitles were quite shoddy in the original, but I'm sure the remake will miss the point.
