i don't wana spend over 500, but i need a fucking awesome cab for recording. i got one for live. but it sucks in the studio, i found an avatar for 299 and it looks like the oranage cabs, is that a good deal? but throw some cabs at me <3

Find something used with Celestion Vintage 30s. I recommend Mesa and Marshall cabs.

Definitely try to find something used if you can, for $500, you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

Used Marshall should fall into your budget, 1960 or Mode 4 cab. Don't go for the crappy AVT cabs.

You got more chance of finding golden nuggets in squirrel shit than finding a used Framus cab this side of the Atlantic.
UK southern Metalers STRAIN were endorsed by Framus. They supported my band a couple of times..........they left their cabs and heads at home, used our Marshall cabs, one of the guys used a POD through a power amp, the other guy used a V-AMP through a power amp, and they reckoned they got a better sound and the Framus stuff was poor at best.

Yeah, I've honestly heard Framus stuff (cabs especially) are pretty low quality - and I certainly know I HATE the Cobra head (and I've tried it A LOT). If the cabs sound good, so much the better, but I know I've heard from people on here who own them that their quality is...lacking.

My Dragon looks like it's made out of particle board or something, but it's apparently birch. The main problem is the shitty wheels!

Either way, it sounds absolutely bitchin with a 6505 through it, so who gives a shit about what it's made out of!

Yeah, the wheels on the 4x12 Dragon suck, but sound wise i would never change it to a Mesa, I just don't like Mesa cabs...

However, i love Bogner cabs and would gladly switch my Dragon to a Bogner
