Muso's...Tell me what cover numbers you played before writing your own music.
OURS WAS.............
Doctor Doctor...............UFO
Lights out....................UFO
War pigs......................BLACK SABBATH
Paranoid......................BLACK SABBATH

None I've been writing frome the beggining.
Problem is it's really hard to find a drummer, bassist, guitarist to start a band with, especially when I find some to jam with and they ONLY want to cover songs to show off their skills.
Plus It's hard to find people who want to do the same music you are trying to make.
But if I could cover,
M.O.D-Hate tank
Metallica-motorbreath
Motorhead-Killed by death
Sepultura-Orgasmatron(yes i know who did it first)

Well, was in a band in the 80's that almost only did covers from SOD.
We also had a reworked version of "Always look at the bright side of live" (with guitar solo of Europe's Final Countdown :) and the Beasty Boys song "fight for your right to party" ...

Only time I played in a band we cover:

GNR - Sweet Child O' Mine
Deep Purple - 'Smoke On The Water'
Jimi Hendrix - 'Purpl Haze'

Anarchy in The UK
Nelly The Elephant
Reign In Blood
Am I Evil

Like carnut I founded a SOD like thrash band and did the vocals.

Here we are playing the song 'foodfight' while throwing bags of flower into the crowd! This is on 30th of April in club Scum in Katwijk 1987
when we were support act of US band Agent Steel, so its now almost 20 years ago.

Nice reply's you lot:
Hey Buzzardbutt, I hav'nt had the pleasure.
My band were writing songs from the begining, trouble was, we had a load of gigs lined up,"which is unusual for a new band on the circuit"...and some of our tunes were real cheesy, Like immature,so we bunged them in as a filler.
We always played "PARANOID" when we earned an enchore..
We even played it when on tour with SABBATH, They did'nt mind!!!hehe.

Oh yeah, I haven't been around for a long time.
I used to hang around a lot more making trouble that kind of stuff.
My real names Rick everybody hates me.:Smug:
I used to be Madcheese.

This place is MADCHEESE!:headbang: :headbang:
