What distortion pedal would you use?

I'm looking for a good distortion pedal as a backup.
Which distortion pedal do you guys think you would use in a live situation to achieve your sound?

Hmm. For what sort of sound???

I recently went back to using a Fulltone OCD on my board. I mainly use it for in-between crunchy tones, and to saturate the living piss out of my distortion channel, for compressed leads and such. But if you mean for your main distorted sound, I don't think it would quite handle that.

I bought a line 6 pOd hd500 for my tourin duties. It does a great job IMO. I just run it into any power amp section I have available

I've had my Line 6 POD 2.0 in my bag of cables for about a decade now as a backup in case my rig goes down. Not the best sounding unit in the world, but when the show must go on, it's not a bad little box.
