It sounds like you couldn't do this with any power, you'd probably cup your hands over the mic to make up for it and within 5 years your chords will be destroyed.

Basically you're doing a vocal gimmick into your mic because you don't have any real technique. You should try to take lessons or watch some professional 'how to' videos.
