What do you guys think of this bass, (real bass)

Messing with pod farm, what do you guys think of this bass tone ? i just put new strings on a poopie Peavey bass my dad had haha. (ernie ball Cobalt)

Can't listen right now but will later. Be careful with those cobalt strings though. I hear they will annihilate your frets.

Could use some more presence on the high end, will probably be hard to hear in the mix with guitars. Other than that it sounds good, definitely better than most sampled basses.

The tone itself is okay but listening to the bass track alone is pointless. Get it behind some guitars first and mix from there.

Yeah, I find that 9 times out of 10 I prefer a real bass to a sampled one even if it isn't a high end bass. Something about a real person playing it gives it that crushing low end. Still haven't had a chance to listen to this though

Some insight in your podfarm settings and chain in general would be nice, I'm struggeling to get my low end/bass right in my mixes lately.

Eq (take some mids out)
Pod farm
Eq (huge mid dip and high pass presence boost)
Cla76 (make it punchy .

I used the dual signal thingy
One side is a strictly
sansamp > bass amp > comp > eq (take high mids, and high OUT)

This side is a strictly distortion channel
sansamp/distortion and or grind > comp > gate > eq (take all lows out)

Hey I dont know much about Podfarm what is the "sansamp"? :O

And also what kind of bass amp did you use? And what cab?
The bass tone you managed to get is impressive btw!
