DRT to prep, Trigger to , well, trigger.
but only because I have all the presets in there (I'm lazy).
with the newly added function in DRT I really wanna start using DRT for everything so I can finally abandon TRIGGER...I'm just too lazy to create all new presets again tbh :(.
Can't live without DRT, could easily do without Trigger (at least now that DRT2 is out)

I use DRT to prep as well, and Trigger to trigger from. I'm using drt to convert to audio clicks, not midi, to avoid the midi timing bug.

Considering DRT. The only thing about DRT2 is that it's $96 and Trigger is 125 or so but it comes with some good samples.

Are those ex samples worth the ilock hassle? (taking into account now everybody and their cats are using them) I wouldn't like to go back to dongles.
Anyway, I'm waiting for more Tape shootouts and see if I finally go back :erk:

I like trigger quite a bit. I bought it as an upgrade to drumagog 4, and it definitely performs better than that. I still have to chop up my tracks for more sensitive reading and less sensitive reading at times. It also doesnt output midi in a useful way for me, but im pretty sure thats my own user error. The samples that come with it are pretty useful, i plunged and got the platinum version. All in all I think it works as good as I would hoped it would for its basic intended purpose.

Massey DRT! If you have not tried the new one yet GO AND TRY IT! It kills everything, the algorithm is fantastic, it can handle even the most difficult transients like in blast beats. And it works even with poor recorded drummers with very soft and inconsistant hits. Built in gate is beautiful! I use it to convert to midi and then use my samples in Avid Pro Tools' Structure sampler wich is also very cool and easy to make your own patches with clever randomize options.
