I remember the days of the N.F.C. I was a member. I also remember the long and agonizing wait for the selection of the new singer. Anyone remember some of the candidates for the open job? They used to keep us N.F.C.'ers posted on who was auditioning and I remember the singer from LIQUID JESUS took a shot. I bought one of their tapes back in the day to see what the singer sounded like.....it was horrible. I remember thinking..."oh shit..this guy better not get it". Any other candidates that anyone can remember? Thank god that Bush got the job..... :hotjump:

Mark Osegueda from the then disbanded Death Angel was a candidate, I remember that.

I remember good ol Kip being a strong candidate

I still have all my NFC newsletters.
If I decide not to be lazy, I'll look it up. But I don't remember them saying who might be the singer?

I think it was a pretty brief mention....I know they said they were holding auditions in one of the letters but I may have read the Liquid Jesus article somewhere else. I lost my N.F.C. member card.....lame.

Last summer in Wacken, Death Angel played right before Anthrax! And both bands were amazing.

I can't even remember what they sounded like now but they aren't metal that's for sure. I do remember that they SUCKED though. :tickled:

There biggest claim to fame was a cover of sly and the family stone's "stand" it was on the Pump up the Volume soundtrack. The singer was a little hippy guy with a shaggy fake fur jacket. I saw them in Denver circa 1990 warming up for the Revolting Cocks. They sucked complete ass.

As I remember it he was their first choice but not available because he was just married, so they went for Bush.
