What is the best city to form a heavy/power metal band?

Hi,

It seems that New York (my beloved home state) does not have a metal music scene conducive to a band in the vein of Iron Maiden, Kamelot or other highly melodic metal bands with great singing. (It's a metalcore/industrial kind of town)

I want to move to the city that would be best suited to this kind of music. That would make finding both musicians and audiences much easier. Which city is the best place to start a heavy/power metal band?

You're going to MOVE just to be able to play in a power metal band? Life doesn't work that way there's no saying you'll find anyone that wants to play with you, and taking such a big move to try and support yourself with music, let alone a metal band....
