Yes, what is your favorite Iron Maiden moment? There's got to be some great stories out there, so let's here'm.

Here's mine...

Winning front row center tickets from KNAC to the 7th Son of a 7th Son tour at the Forum.

Lets hear your stories, AND I hope they top mine!

Okay I have 2 stories from my youth.

It was at Long Beach arena for the LIVE AFTER DEATH and my friend and I had crappy nosebleeder seats so we got all dressed up like bimbos and managed to sneek all the way to the front row in the floor bleechers side stage. Then the security guy came up to us and we were sure he was going to escort us out of the arena, but God bless the man, he offered us the two vacant 2nd row center floor seats!!! It was like a dream! THEN I decided to push my luck and I told him I wanted to meet the drummer and guess what? He came back with two backstage passes! WHeeeee! I didn't end up meeting Nicko that night, but I did meet Steve Harris and we chatted about Clive Burr. :)

I was at the London Heathrow airport and heard them paging "Clive Burr" over the intercom! Doh! I went over to where they paged him and there he was! My band was on a European tour at the time so I had a copy of our album on hand to give to him, but when I approached him my brain just froze and I asked him to sign my own album! So I couldn't very well give him the album he just signed for me! I was a TOTAL dork! But I DID get to tell him it was because of him that I play drums today. I have a photo somewhere, I will have to find it. Hee hee!

Here's a Clive/Linda pic I did a while back...

Insanely cool you got to meet him like that!

BTW, I've only seen Iron Maiden once (waaaaay way back on the Piece Of Mind tour). So that was my Maiden moment.
;)

Hmm...It's a tie for me.

It would either have to be seeing the band for my 30th birthday from the second row on the Brave New World Tour or else the very first time that I saw the band when I was 14 for the final show on the World Slavery Tour as my first arena concert.

And both were at Irvine Meadows! :)

I met Bruce twice and Adrian once, but I wouldnt' say that was my best Maiden moment (I still wanna meet Steve Harris dammittt!!). It had to be the Ed Hunter tour. I saw 'em at the Greek Theatre in Hollyweird, and I was taken aback by the sheer adrenaline in the air. You could practically smell the adrenaline. Everyone was soooooo excited that Bruce and Adrian were back that there was this intoxicating buzz radiating throughout the audience. I dont' think I've ever seen that that sort of excitement at a show -- ever! It was a magical night to see Maiden alive and intact and playing all their greatest hits. My friend and I decided to drive out to Vegas and see them the next night at the Joint at the Hard rock -- a tiny place to see a killer maiden show. unfortunately, at the show I saw, Bruce dropped Dave Murray when he was trying to support him on his shoulders, and Dave hurt his hand. So, the show was cancelled :( daaammmitttt!

GREAT STORIES!!!

Most of you got me beat, in fact, I don't even come close...DAMN!!! But, that's sooo cool.

Doodoobubbachuck's recollection of 'sneaking' down to the front at Long Beach Arena was a memory for me...I did that all the time too. Amazingly, I never got caught. But you did and you got backstage passes...arggg!!!! Tough punishment for the crime. You think they'd give me back stage passes? Not in a million years. Plain and simply...being a female has it's advantages!

Ms Anthrope...hats off to you. I read about Dave Murray getting married to somebody from California, and living in Hawaii.

Bassbitch... I wanted to see them at the Greek Theatre but couldn't (especially since it was a smaller venue than from the past), and I was planning to see them in Vegas, but then it was cancelled!!! That sucked sooo much because...well...they hadn't played for quite some time and I really, really, really wanted to see them. But, hearing your story of how there was this "intoxicating buzz radiating thoughtout the audience" just reinforces what I figured I would miss, DAMNED!!!! (At least you caught it tho.)

I must admit, I do have another great moment...more like memorabilia. I didn't know about it until several years after it occurred (I think that's why I didn't think of it earlier). It's a picture that I'm in with Iron Maiden! It's in their first biography. Came out in early 90's. The picture I'm in was at their very last maiden show from the Powerslave tour, and that was at Irvine Meadows. At the end of the show when the entire band crowded together at the front of the stage, a picture was taken from the back of the stage and looking out. I recalled that I was at that show (I snuck down to the front there too), so I looked at the front row and there I was! I'm right smack dab in the front! I was stoked!

Anymore stories out there, let's hear'm.

I keep forgetting that Iron Maiden/Saxon/Fastway ('83) was my first concert!!! This probably explains my undying loyalty to Iron Maiden and Saxon...
